Dr. Sketchy is an unconventionel life-drawing class! Burlesque performers, dancers and other costumed characters will follow. This phenomenon was created by artist Molly Crabapple and has been taking place in its founding city, New York, since 2005 (www.drsketchy.com). In Montreal, we organize monthly events and are also available for private sessions.

For $10, you'll finally be able to fill your sketchbook!

Students, artists, curious people… you're all welcome at Dr. Sketchy's Anti-art School! Dr. Sketchy is also available for private events. Contact us by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.

Georgiana Elias

Coordinator, Dr. Sketchy Montreal

Georgiana has always been passionate about art, with a special focus on portraiture. She holds a DEC in Illustration & Design from Dawson College. Endlessly pursuing new and interesting things, she has been attending Dr. Sketchy Montreal since December 2007, and became its Coordinator in September 2008. She is responsible for finding the fabulous models and for advertising the monthly Dr. Sketchy sessions. A countless number of her hours is also dedicated to preparing the unique decor for each session.

Salim Khan

Assistant Coordinator, Dr. Sketchy Montreal

Salim has been an art fan for a long time. Having studied in Literature and being an amateur photographer, creativity is nothing new to him. For Dr. Sketchy Montreal, he sets up the room for the artists arrival and, with the help of a camera, immortalizes the monthly sessions. He is the man behing the scene without whom the sessions would not be possible!
